2018-19 Junior Marksmanship Program

  • Sign-up for the 2018-2019 Bismarck-Mandan Rifle and Pistol Association’s Junior Marksmanship Program will be December 6, 2018, at the Johnson Family Marksmanship Center located at 4667 Skyway in south Bismarck (about 1.8 miles south of the airport) at 6:30 p.m.
  • Goals of the program are to learn firearms safety and marksmanship.
  • Juniors are also introduced to the shooting sports. Many of the juniors in this program have gone on to compete at state and national competitions, including the National Junior Olympic Shooting Championships held each year at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
  • The program is for young adults 12 -20 years old.
  • The program will run through Thursday, March 21, 2019.
  • Our Junior Club championship will be Saturday, March 23, 2019.
  • All the equipment for the program is provided including rifles, spotting scopes, shooting jackets, gloves, slings, shooting mats, eye and ear protection. However, it is recommended that juniors provide their own eye and ear protection.
  • This is the 26th year of the program.
  • Instruction for the program is provided by NRA Certified Instructors and Coaches.
  • Cost of the program is $40.
