Bullseye Pistol

Bullseye Pistol is an extremely challenging course of fire consisting of 3 different stages.

The first is slow fire, which is 10 shots on 1 target in 10 minutes.

The second is timed fire, which is two 5 shot strings on 1 target. Each string being 20 seconds.

The third is rapid fire, which is two 5 shot strings on 1 target. Each string being 10 seconds.

For timed and rapid fire the target is initially on edge and is faced to the shooter for 10 or 20 seconds respectively.

The targets have X, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5 and 4 rings. Scoring is done by adding up the score of the 10 shots with the best possible score being 100 - 10x.

For indoor matches the distance to the targets is either 50 ft. or 75 ft. depending on the range length. For outdoor matches the distance to slow fire targets is 50 yds. and the distance to time and rapid fire targets is 25 yds.

The pistols used are .22 caliber, any center fire pistol caliber and the .45 caliber.

Open sights and any form of telescopic or lighted sight is legal.

Most competitive shooters use just 2 guns, the .22 and the .45.

There are minimum weights for trigger pull:

.22 = 2 lbs.
Center Fire = 2 ½ lbs
.45 = 3 ½ lbs
Matches are usually a 1800 (180 shots) or 2700 (270 shots) and consist pf 20 or 30 shot strings shot in combination of slow, timed fire and rapid fire. Matches also combine .22 caliber, center fire caliber and .45 caliber pistols.
