You can download a manual and an application from the BCI website. If you don’t get a copy in advance, they will be available the first night of class.

We require a minimum of 8 participants. Class 1 attendance is limited to 18 participants.

There will be an open-book test at the end of the first evening. 100% is required in order to pass.

Class 1 applicants
For Wednesday, December 20:
Bring manual, application, the holster and handgun you plan to use on the 22nd. No ammunition at this time, please.

For safety reasons, NO ankle, cross draw or shoulder holsters will be allowed on the range.

For Friday, December 22:
Bring your handgun, holster and at least 100 rounds of ammunition. If using an autoloader, you should have 2 magazines and if shooting a revolver it is easiest with a speedloader.

Please practice with your handgun before this day. You need to be proficient before your shooting test! Accuracy of 70% is required in order to pass.

If any disability keeps you from standing, kneeling or shooting with both hands, you must contact BCI at (701) 328-5500 to see what medical documentation will be needed for them to give you an accommodation for the shooting proficiency.

If an applicant is unable to successfully complete the test, with or without reasonable accommodation, the applicant will not be eligible for Class 1 licensure.

Class 2 applicants
Bring your manual and application on the 20.
