Fried Family Marksmanship Complex
• There is no charge for the clinic.
• Open to all interested in long range shooting.
• 800 Yard Firing Line
For those interested in Long Range shooting – We will start with a short safety meeting, then discuss the Long Range shooting discipline. We will discuss zeroing, wind calling, basic ballistics, prone shooting, target operation in the target pits, etc. We will start from the 800 yard firing line.
If you’re interested in shooting, you should have a HARD 100 or 200 yard zero for your rifle, a scope with adjustable target knobs, and 50 rounds of ammo. Your rifle/ammo combination should also be capable of firing 1,000 yards (that is 6mm or larger caliber and modern smokeless arms only).
On Saturday, August 12, we will have a Long Range match (Palma match fired at 800, 900 and 1,000 yards). The long range match will follow the Vintage Rifle Match (approximately 1 hour).
For further information contact Tom Thompson at (701) 220-4601. Please call me if you are interested in attending one or both of these mini-Clinics.
